About Planet Zoo 2
Planet Zoo 2 is an upcoming zoo management simulation developed and published by Frontier Developments. Building on the original game’s creative construction and animal-care systems, the sequel asks players to design zoos, build habitats, manage staff and guest needs, and support conservation projects around the world. Its animal roster adds fully aquatic and flying species, supported by customizable aquariums, aviaries, and more detailed behavior.
Players can work through a guided Career mode, manage connected zoos in Franchise mode, or build freely in Sandbox. Wildlife Reserves extend conservation beyond zoo boundaries, while revised pathing, terrain brushes, scaling, and flexi-color tools expand the construction toolkit. Planet Zoo 2 is scheduled for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 13, 2026. Frontier Workshop will support cross-platform sharing of player-created blueprints and creations. That strong building culture may encourage interest in new animals, scenery, visual improvements, interface changes, and management tools, but those broader modifications are different from official blueprint sharing and should not be presented as supported until Frontier confirms them.
